Our Team

VINCENT LAM - Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer

Mr. Lam has over 25 years of expertise in financial analysis, investment research and active fund management covering primarily equities in Hong Kong, China and Asia. In the mid-1990’s, he began his career first as a financial journalist with the Hong Kong Economic Times and later with the Next Magazine writing analytical reports on companies listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. In March 1999, Mr. Lam joined Quam (Hong Kong) as an Equity Research Analyst. He was subsequently hand-picked by Tony Measor, a veteran value investor and fund manager with over 50 years' experience in Asia, as his right-hand-man, and was eventually promoted to Director of Quam Research, and Director of Quam Asset Management (which then changed name to China Tonghai Asset Management) to head the divisions.

Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences (Economics) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Mr. Lam also holds an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario in Canada.

Before establishing the current company in 2009, Mr. Lam served as Managing Director for RCG Asia (the Hong Kong office of Ramius Capital Group, LLC) and was Portfolio Manager of their Asia event-driven portfolio.

ADRIAN WONG - Executive Director and Chief Operations Officer

Mr. Wong has more than 25 years of experience in corporate finance, real estates and equity investments. Mr. Wong was admitted as a solicitor in England & Wales in 1988 and in Hong Kong in 1989. He had worked for commercial law firms in England and in Hong Kong and specialized in listings and mergers and acquisitions in the Greater China region.

Mr. Wong is a director of Abercan Limited, a property investment company in Hong Kong. He was appointed independent non-executive director ("INED") of MTR Corporation (66.HK) in May 2021, INED of Airport Authority Hong Kong since 2018 and Chairman of ICAC Corruption Prevention Advisory Committee since 1 January 2018. Mr. Wong served as a member of the Listing Committee of The Hong Kong Stock Exchange from May 2006 to May2012, on the HKSAR Inland Revenue Board of Review Panel from 2001 to 2010 as well as on the HKSAR Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Appeal Board from 2005 to 2009.

Mr. Wong was made a Justice of the Peace on 1 July 2009.

BERNARD TO – Managing Director

Mr. To has more than 17 years of experience in stock portfolio management, product development & promotion, risk management and overall operation of fund management business. From August 2013 to April 2019, he served as Chief Investment Officer of Globalway Development. From April 2005 to Jul 2010, he was Senior Fund Manager at Hamon Asset Management. From August 2010 to June 2013, he was Managing Director of Ginger Capital Investment Advisory.

Mr. To holds a Bachelor's degree in International Economics and Business Administration from The International Christian University, Tokyo, Japan. He obtained his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification in 2003.

MARTIN ZHENG -Portfolio Manager

Mr Zheng has more than 15 years of stock investment and portfolio management experience. From September 2015 to June 2021, he was Portfolio Manager at Hang Seng Investment Management in charge of three China-themed equity funds (including Hang Seng China Equity Fund, which was named the Best 3-year China Equity Fund in April 2019 by Lipper Awards). From January 2014 to August 2015, he was Head of Research/ Chief Trader at Tranxit Capital. During May to November 2012, he was Assistant Portfolio Manager at Quam Asset Management (which then changed name to China Tonghai Asset Management) having served as Research Analyst at the firm during January 2007 to December 2010, and as Investment Analyst at LBN Advisers January to May 2011.

Mr. Zheng holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics & Applied Mathematics from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and a Master degree in Actuary & Investment Science from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

PHOEBE LAM – Deputy Chief Operations Officer

Ms Lam has more than 17 years of experience in investor relations and fund marketing. She has worked as Marketing Officer for Quam Asset Management (which then changed name to China Tonghai Asset Management) and as Corporate Communications Officer for The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong.

Ms Lam holds a Bachelor's of Arts (Honours) degree in Translation from Baptist University and a Master of Arts degree in Chinese Linguistics from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
